What to Wear? Here’s the Lowdown!

At Gold Society, we’ve got your back when it comes to safety, but here’s a quick fashion tip for your visit: while we do everything in our power to ensure your clothing stays clean and free from any mishaps, we recommend avoiding wearing anything of high value or expensive.

Now, here’s the golden rule – please, pretty please, DON’T rock a turtleneck or high collar! 🙅‍♀️ We want your experience to be as smooth and comfortable as possible, and high collars can be a bit of a hassle during your visit. So, throw on something comfy and relax; we’ve got the rest covered!

Appointment Changes and Etiquette: We’re All In This Together

We get it – life can throw curveballs your way, and sometimes plans need to change. At Gold Society, we’ve got some guidelines in place to ensure the best experience for you and everyone involved.

**Appointment Modifications**: If you need to adjust or cancel your appointment, we kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. This helps us manage our schedule efficiently.

**Confirmation Texts**: We’ve got your back! We send appointment confirmations via text 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. This gives you ample time to make any changes if necessary.

**No-Show and Last-Minute Changes**: Here’s the scoop – no-shows and last-minute cancellations can throw a wrench in our gears and impact our business. With short notice, we can’t offer your appointment to another client.

**Running Late**: If you find yourself running behind, please give us a call right away to keep us in the loop. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but please understand that we might not be able to perform the full service originally booked.

**Appointment Precision**: We work with appointments to make sure everyone has a smooth experience. Sticking to scheduled times is important to avoid inconveniencing other guests.

**No-Show Policy**: No-show appointments will require full prepayment for the service before we book another one for you. This prepayment is non-refundable in case of another no-show.

Understanding Our Booking Fees

Here at Gold Society, we want to make sure the booking process is transparent and convenient for you. That’s why we’ve got a system in place for booking fees, and we’re here to break it down for you:

**Booking Fees Process**: When you book your appointment, a booking fee is processed, and it’s deducted from your final service bill.

**Cancellation Outside 48 Hours**: If you decide to cancel your booking with more than 48 hours’ notice, your booking fee is fully refundable. No worries!

**Between 24 and 48 Hours**: If you need to make changes with notice between 24 and 48 hours before your appointment, you can move your appointment, and your booking fee will be transferred. We’re all about flexibility.

**Within 24 Hours**: Now, if you need to make changes or cancel your appointment within 24 hours, your booking fee will be forfeited. This is because it doesn’t give us enough time to fill the appointment slot.

**No-Show Policy**: If you miss your appointment without notice, the booking fee is forfeited, and you’ll be responsible for 100% of the charges for any services booked thereafter.

We believe in providing a fair and efficient booking system to protect our business and accommodate all our clients, including those who are on waitlists.

Some notes on our Salon Etiquette…

We are an extremely busy salon and run by appointment only. We do our absolute best to be running on time for all of our appointments and will message or call if we aren’t. We please ask that you do the same.

We also understand that life is busy, and often our clients will be killing the multitasking game by working while having their hair done – and that is totally cool! However please understand that we require your attention to consult, your cooperation throughout your appointment and ask that you keep business and work calls/meetings to a minimum volume – we don’t need to know that Sally is getting the sack tomorrow….

**Can I Bring My Children?** We’re all about creating a relaxed, stress-free vibe for our clients. If you need to bring your little ones along, please keep in mind that we work with chemicals and sharp tools, so they’ll need to be supervised at all times.

**Not Loving Your Look?** Hey, it happens! If you’re not thrilled with your hair, reach out to us ASAP. We’re all about making you 100% happy. You’ve got a complimentary 10-day window from your appointment date for any tweaks you need.

**Olaplex, Anyone?** Absolutely! We’re big fans of Olaplex. While it’s an add-on to your service, we highly recommend it for our blonde and coloured clients. It’s like a superhero shield for your hair during colouring, letting us take it lighter without compromising its integrity.

**Cutting with no Blow-Dry?** We believe in giving you the best ‘do possible, which is why we don’t offer haircuts without blow-dries. Seeing your hair dried and styled helps us ensure it’s perfection. Plus, we often prefer to cut dry hair to really see its movement and texture.

**Payment Methods?** We’ve got you covered! We accept cash, EFTPOS, credit, and even Afterpay for your convenience.

**Consultation is Key**: We strongly recommend booking a complimentary consultation with us. This is your chance to chat with our experts, get honest advice, and set realistic expectations. We’re all about open and transparent communication.

**Understanding the Change**: If you’ve been experimenting with home colouring or have some built-up colour, we might suggest a test strand. This helps us gauge the expected color result accurately.

**Planning Your Appointment**: After the consultation, we’ll give you a detailed quote and allocate the right amount of time for your service. We’re all about personalization!

Prepping Your Hair for a Fabulous Visit

**Fresh and Clean**: Please arrive with clean hair. Trust us, nobody wants to color oily, unwashed hair. It ensures the best results for your gorgeous locks.

**No Products, Please**: If you’ve used any hair products, including colored root spray to cover grays, be sure to wash it out before your appointment. These products can block the color from doing its thing effectively.
